| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of the emperor Caracalla facing right, seen from the rear, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The effigy displays the emperor's characteristic youthful features with curled hair beneath the laurel wreath. The surrounding field carries the Greek legend identifying the emperor. The portrait style is consistent with early Severan provincial bronze coinage of the Troad region. |
