| Obverse description | Bare head of Germanicus facing right, rendered in the Julio-Claudian provincial style with short-cropped hair and idealized features. The effigy occupies the central field, with the Greek legend ΘΕΟΝ ΓΕΡΜΑΝΙΚΟΝ arcing around the upper portion of the flan and the mint abbreviation ΜΥΤΙ positioned in the lower left field. The portrait honours Germanicus posthumously as a divine figure, consistent with the civic cult practices of the Greek East under Caligula. |
