(Translation: Emperor Caesar Titus Aelius Hadrianus Antoninus)
Reverse description Elpis, the personification of Hope, depicted standing and facing left in flowing robes, her right hand raised and holding a flower before her while her left hand gathers a fold of her garment at the hip. The regnal date appears in the field in Greek numeral notation, identifying this issue as struck in the eighteenth year of Antoninus Pius's reign. The flan is irregular and the surface heavily encrusted, consistent with typical Alexandrian provincial bronze coinage of the period.
