| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, with short beard and draped shoulder, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The emperor's effigy occupies the central field, with the partial Greek imperial legend disposed around the periphery. The portrait displays characteristic mid-second-century workmanship, with naturalistic facial features and layered hair. The flan shows an irregular edge with a notable chip at the upper right, and the surfaces bear an even green patina consistent with prolonged burial. |
