Reverse description An agonistic prize table depicted in three-quarter perspective occupies the central field, its four legs clearly rendered; atop the table rests a prize crown or vessel flanked by two birds — a peacock to the left and an eagle to the right — symbolising the two prestigious athletic festivals of Argos. The Greek bilinear legend ΗΡΑΙΑ ΝΕΜΕΙΑ, referencing the Heraian and Nemean games, is distributed in the left and right fields respectively. A modern piercing is present beneath the table. The composition is characteristic of Argive civic bronze coinage commemorating local agonistic traditions under Roman imperial authority.
