| Reverse description | Turreted head of Cybele (the Magna Mater, principal deity of Pessinus) facing right, wearing a mural crown, consistent with the iconography of the great goddess particularly venerated at her sacred sanctuary in Pessinus. The magistrate's name legend ΕΠΙ ΝΕΡΑΤΙΟΥ ΠΑΝϹΑ is inscribed in the left field in Greek characters, identifying the local official Neratius Pansa responsible for the coin's issue. The flan is irregular with a dark brown patina characteristic of Galatian provincial bronzes. |
