| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Valerian I facing right, presented in three-quarter rear view, the radiate crown rendered with pronounced spikes. The emperor's paludamentum and segmented cuirass are depicted in detail, conveying imperial military authority. A Greek legend encircles the effigy along the periphery of the flan, reading from left to right. The flan is slightly irregular, characteristic of provincial bronze coinage of the mid-third century AD. |
