| Obverse description | Draped bust of Tyche facing right, wearing a turreted crown; a thyrsus rests over the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Asia Minor civic coinage under the joint reign of Valerian and Gallienus. The legend ΤΕΩϹ appears in the field, identifying the issuing city of Teos. The portrait conveys the city's tutelary deity in a dignified, frontal drapery arrangement. |
