Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gallienus facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic three-quarter back view. The emperor's laurel wreath, paludamentum, and armour are rendered in the provincial style typical of Ionian civic coinage. The encircling Greek legend runs around the periphery of the field. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the bold, somewhat crude workmanship characteristic of mid-third century Teian bronze issues.
