| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Valerian I facing right, seen from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the characteristic provincial style of Mysian civic coinage, with curled hair beneath the laurel wreath and articulated musculature of the cuirass. The encircling Greek legend reads in abbreviated imperial titulature around the bust. |
