Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trebonianus Gallus facing right, depicted from behind the shoulder in the typical provincial three-quarter rear view. The imperial effigy displays a radiate laurel wreath atop the head, with paludamentum draped over the cuirass, consistent with the iconographic conventions of the mid-third century Roman provincial coinage. The encircling legend runs along the periphery of the flan in Latin characters. The overall style reflects the local workshop of the Troas conventus, with characteristic broad fabric and somewhat irregular strike.
