Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the naturalistic portrait style typical of early 2nd century provincial coinage. The emperor's facial features are finely modeled, with the laurel wreath clearly articulated around the head. The Greek legend curves around the obverse field, identifying the emperor by his full imperial titulature. The portrait is set within a slightly irregular flan characteristic of provincial bronze issues.
