| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of Empress Herennia Etruscilla facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound with a diadem, with a paludamentum or stephane visible at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage of the mid-3rd century AD. The Greek legend encircles the bust, identifying the empress by name and title. |
