Reverse description The lunar deity Mên stands facing right, with his right foot resting upon a bull's head, a common iconographic attribute associating the god with sacrificial power and Phrygian religious tradition. A crescent is depicted behind his shoulders. He holds a long sceptre in one hand and a pine cone in the other, both attributes standard to his cult iconography in Asia Minor. The ethnic legend of the issuing city is inscribed around the field in Greek characters, within a dotted border.
