| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Epirote civic coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic strong facial features associated with Trajanic portraiture, with the laurel wreath visible around the head. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΑΥΤΟ ΤΡΑΙΑΝΟϹ ϹωΤΗΡ ΠΟΛΕωϹ, identifying the emperor as 'Saviour of the City.'
