Reverse description Turreted Tyche, the personification of the city's fortune, depicted standing facing with head turned to the left, holding a small temple model in each hand, referencing Nicomedia's double neocorate status — the honour of twice hosting an imperial cult temple. The composition reflects civic pride in the city's prestigious religious role within the province of Bithynia. The encircling Greek legend proclaims the city's neocorate distinction. The figure is rendered in the standard provincial workshop style of the Severan period.
