Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Severus Alexander facing right, seen from behind, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Alexandrian Troas mint, with a broad flan and moderately high relief. The legend encircles the bust, partially abbreviated and with variant orthography as recorded.

Reverse description Tetrastyle or three-column temple depicted in three-quarter perspective view to the right, within which stands Apollo Smintheus, the god rendered in full figure facing right, holding a bow in one hand and extending a patera over a tripod altar. The architectural rendering reflects the local veneration of Apollo Smintheus, whose cult was prominent in the Troad region. The reverse legend encircles the design, identifying the issuing colony.
