Reverse description A horse advances to the right, head lowered in a grazing posture, rendered in the provincial artistic style characteristic of Alexandrian Troas coinage. In the background, a herdsman stands facing right, holding a pedum (shepherd's crook). A tree is depicted behind the figures, completing the pastoral scene. The Latin colonial legend is distributed around the reverse field. The composition reflects the long-standing iconographic tradition of equestrian and pastoral types at this mint.
