| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Mamaea facing right, her hair diademed and elaborately coiffed in the Severan court style. The effigy is rendered in typical provincial workshop manner, with the drapery folds visible across the shoulder and chest. The obverse legend ΙΟΥ ΜΑΜΑΙΑ runs around the bust, identifying the empress as mother of Severus Alexander.
