| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Mamaea facing right, her hair elaborately waved and drawn back in a stephane or diadem, with layered drapery visible at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek Imperial style, with the legend ΙΟΥΛΙΑ ΜΑΜΑΙΑ disposed around the bust. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical provincial patination consistent with Troadean bronze issues of the Severan period. |
