Obverse description Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately waved and coiled in the Severan fashion, with the locks drawn back and massed at the nape of the neck. The portrait is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Milesian mint, with a broad flan and somewhat worn die execution. The obverse legend ΙΟΥΛΙΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ encircles the bust, identifying the empress as Julia Augusta.
