| Obverse description | Draped bust of the personified Roman Senate facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Lydian civic coinage of the Severan period. The effigy displays a turreted or wreathed head characteristic of senatorial personifications in Asia Minor. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust within the fields of the flan, partially visible due to the irregular striking. The portrait is modelled in moderate relief with visible drapery folds at the shoulder. |
