Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus facing right, rendered in the characteristic Severan portrait style with curled beard and hair. The imperial effigy occupies the central field, encircled by a beaded border. The Greek legend is disposed around the bust, running along the periphery of the flan. The portrait conveys the emperor's authority through its bold, high-relief modelling typical of Ephesian civic bronzes of the period.
