| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus facing right, rendered in the characteristic Severan portrait style with curled beard and hair. The imperial effigy occupies the central field, encircled by a beaded border. The Greek legend is disposed around the bust, running along the periphery of the flan. The portrait conveys the emperor's authority through its bold, high-relief modelling typical of Ephesian civic bronzes of the period. |
