| Reverse description | Zeus Lydios, the principal civic deity of Lydia, depicted standing to the left, clad in a long chiton and himation rendered with flowing drapery folds. He extends his right hand forward holding an eagle, the bird's wings partially spread, while his left hand grasps a tall sceptre. The composition reflects the standard iconographic type of Zeus Lydios widely adopted on Lydian provincial bronzes of the Severan period. The Greek civic legend encircles the figure within a beaded border. |
