Reverse description Dionysus standing left in full figure, his weight shifted onto his right leg in a relaxed contrapposto stance. In his raised right hand he holds a cantharus, and in his left hand a long thyrsus; at his feet to the left crouches a panther, the god's sacred animal. The reverse legend ΤΡΙΠΟΛΕΙΤΩΝ ('of the Tripolitans') runs around the field, identifying the issuing civic authority of Tripolis in Lydia.
