Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Philip II facing right, depicted in three-quarter front view, the imperial paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The effigy displays the typical provincial Roman portraiture style of the mid-3rd century AD. The surrounding Greek legend is partially visible in the field, running clockwise along the periphery of the flan.
