Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gaius Julius Verus Maximus (Caesar) facing right, rendered in three-quarter view seen from the rear, a presentation convention occasionally employed in provincial bronze coinage of this period. The effigy is set within a circular Greek legend occupying the obverse field. The portrait displays the characteristic military dress of an imperial prince, with paludamentum and cuirass visible. The surrounding legend identifies the subject by his full titulature in Greek characters.
