| Obverse description | Confronted laureate busts of the co-emperors Marcus Aurelius (left) and Lucius Verus (right), both draped in the paludamentum (military cloak), facing one another across the field. The jugate facing arrangement is a characteristic provincial device used to emphasize the collegiate nature of the joint reign. The encircling Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan. The flan is struck on an irregularly shaped bronze planchet typical of Carian provincial issues of this period. |

| Reverse description | Nike, the personification of victory, advancing to the right in a dynamic stride, her drapery billowing behind her. She holds a wreath in her extended right hand and a long palm-branch in her left, both canonical attributes of the goddess in Greco-Roman provincial coinage. The encircling ethnic legend in Greek identifies the issuing civic authority of Halicarnassus. The style and iconography are consistent with Carian provincial bronze issues of the Antonine period. |
