Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Lucius Verus facing right, wearing paludamentum over cuirass, with curled beard and hair rendered in the characteristic Antonine style. The effigy is presented in a three-quarter rear view, with the drapery of the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust within the field, identifying the emperor by his titles and name.
