Obverse description Draped bust of Demos personified facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Phrygian civic coinage of the Hadrianic period. The bust is depicted with naturalistic drapery over the shoulder, with the hair loosely styled. The encircling Greek legend ΔΗΜΟϹ ΥΔΡΗΛΕΙΤΩΝ runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the personification as the Demos of the Hydreliitans. The flan is irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze coinage.
