Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, viewed from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The youthful imperial effigy is rendered in typical provincial style, with the laureate wreath clearly articulated across the brow. The encircling legend runs clockwise within the outer border of the flan.
