| Reverse description | A centrally placed laurel wreath encloses a smaller inner wreath, itself containing a dotted circular motif, creating a distinctive nested wreath composition characteristic of Nicopolis ad Istrum and Epirote civic coinage under Gordian III. The outer wreath, rendered with broad leafy branches tied at the base, occupies the majority of the reverse field. The Greek legend of the issuing city appears partially around the outer border, with the inscription divided between the upper and lower periphery of the flan. |
