| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing left, with spear over shoulder and shield visible at the bust truncation. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Mysian civic coinage of the mid-third century. The encircling Greek legend identifies the emperor by his full titulature. The portrait exhibits the typical stylised treatment found on Cyzicene bronze issues of the sole reign period. |
