| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, depicted from the rear in the so-called back-view convention typical of provincial Greek coinage of the 3rd century AD. The legend surrounding the effigy identifies the emperor by his full Roman nomenclature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces heavily worn, consistent with a locally struck provincial issue. |
