Obverse description Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, the effigy rendered in the provincial Greek style with the laurel wreath clearly articulated. The circular Greek legend surrounds the imperial portrait, running along the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the youthful features characteristic of this emperor, with drapery visible at the truncation of the bust.
