Reverse description Frontal view of a hexastyle temple rendered in perspective, with six slender columns supporting an entablature and triangular pediment; a globe or dot ornament appears at the centre of the pediment, and laurel branches flank the roofline. The architectural type likely represents the principal civic temple of Nicaea. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΑΙΕΩΝ is divided to either side of the temple colonnade, with ΝΙ to the left and ΚΑΙ to the right, and ΕΩΝ displayed in the exergue below the stylobate. The design is enclosed within a beaded border.
