Reverse description Standing frontal figure of Artemis Laphria, the principal deity of the Roman colony of Patras, depicted wearing a short chiton and chlamys. She holds a bow in her raised left hand, positioned above an altar to her right. To the left of the figure, a hound is shown with its head raised upward toward the goddess, referencing the hunting iconography associated with the cult of Laphria. The composition closely follows the well-established iconographic type for this deity as worshipped at the sanctuary at Patras. The reverse legend, abbreviated in Latin, identifies the goddess in her Augustan cultic aspect.
