Obverse description Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Achaean civic coinage. The portrait shows the emperor with a laurel wreath and short beard, consistent with his mature iconography. The partially preserved Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits a thick, irregular green patina characteristic of surviving provincial bronze issues from the Antonine period.
