Obverse description Radiate and draped bust of Caracalla facing right, with short curled beard and hair rendered in tight ringlets. The radiate crown consists of clearly defined spikes. The emperor's cuirass and paludamentum are visible at the truncation. The encircling legend in Greek characters runs along the outer border of the obverse field.
