Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, depicted from the rear in a three-quarter perspective, with the cuirass clearly articulated. The surrounding legend is partially visible along the rim of the heavily patinated flan. The portrait reflects the provincial Roman die-cutting tradition characteristic of the Troas region during the Severan period.
