Obverse description Laureate head of Antoninus Pius facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the truncation of the neck. The portrait is rendered in the typical Antonine style, with a fleshy, mature physiognomy and a wreath of laurel leaves crowning the head. The Greek imperial legend encircles the effigy, running along the periphery of the flan. The coin shows considerable surface wear and encrustation consistent with its age and bronze composition.
