Obverse description Diademed and draped head of Zeus Olympios facing left, depicted with long wavy hair and a full beard in the idealized classical tradition. The diadem is rendered as a simple fillet binding the hair above the brow. Traces of drapery are visible at the truncation of the neck. The obverse legend ΖΕΥϹ οΛΥΜΠΙοϹ is disposed in the field around the effigy, identifying the deity. The style is characteristic of provincial bronze coinage struck under Roman imperial authority in Lydia during the Antonine period.
