| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Marcus Aurelius, with short beard, draped in cuirass and paludamentum, facing right and seen from the rear. The legend Μ ΑΥΡΗ ΟΥΗΡΟϹ ΚΑΙ runs around the periphery of the flan in Greek characters. The portrait reflects the provincial die-cutting style typical of the Phrygian conventus, with broad, slightly summary facial modeling consistent with the mid-Antonine period. |
