| Reverse description | Tyche of Gaza standing left, wearing a kalathos (turreted crown) on her head, holding a long sceptre in her right hand and a cornucopia in her left. To the left of the figure, a heifer stands facing left, a symbol closely associated with the civic identity of Gaza. To the right of Tyche appears the distinctive Gaza civic symbol known as the mem. The reverse legend ΔϹ ΓΑΖΑ is inscribed in the field, indicating the city name and likely a local era date. The composition follows the established iconographic tradition of Gazan civic bronzes of the Antonine period. |
