Reverse description Standing frontal figure of the Milesian Artemis, presented in the distinctive local cult type, holding a patera in her extended right hand and a bow in her left. The goddess is depicted in a long chiton with her attributes emphasising her role as the principal deity of Miletus. The reverse legend, distributed around the field, names the eponymous archon Diogenes and identifies the issuing city. The overall style reflects the Ionian provincial workshop tradition of the mid-third century AD.
