| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of the emperor Trebonianus Gallus facing right, rendered from a three-quarter rear perspective, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The effigy is boldly modelled in the provincial style characteristic of Ionian civic bronzes of the mid-third century AD. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ ΤΡΕΒΩΝΙΑΝΟϹ ΓΑΛΛΟϹ, distributed around the full periphery of the flan within the border of dots. |
