Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the confident provincial style characteristic of Ionian civic coinage. The laureate wreath is rendered with fine detail, and the imperial drapery falls over the left shoulder. The obverse legend encircles the bust, invoking Trajan's full titulature including his divine descent from Nerva and his Germanic victories. The portrait displays strong modelling of the facial features typical of Trajanic provincial issues from the Ephesus conventus.
