| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan Decius facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy displays characteristic mid-third-century provincial portraiture, with the laurel wreath clearly indicated atop the head. The surrounding Greek legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits the slightly irregular module typical of provincial bronze issues struck at Samos under the Conventus of Miletus. |
