| Obverse description | Laureate head of the emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Cappadocian civic coinage. The bust is bare-shouldered, with the laurel wreath clearly defined around the head. A continuous Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field, identifying the emperor with his full imperial titulature. The die-cutting reflects competent but unpretentious provincial workmanship, consistent with issues from Cybistra under the early second century AD. |
