| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Severus Alexander facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic provincial style. The effigy shows the emperor in military attire, with paludamentum visible over the cuirass. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan. The coin displays the typical fabric of Magnesian civic bronzes, with a somewhat irregular flan and bold relief portraiture. |

| Reverse description | Tyche, the city's tutelary deity, depicted standing to the left in full figure, wearing a turreted crown and long chiton. She holds a ship's rudder in her right hand, resting it on the ground, and a cornucopia in her left arm, symbolising the city's prosperity and maritime connections. The ethnic legend ΜΑΓΝΗΤΩΝ appears in the field, identifying the issuing civic authority. The composition reflects the standard Hellenistic iconographic tradition common to Ionian civic coinage of the Severan period. |
